AYURVEDA – PITTA DOSHA with Leigh: Immerse yourself in the practices of Ayurveda and learn simple and practical ways to be your most vibrant and radiant self. Unique to this system is the  constitutional types (doshas) based on the five elements: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha Dosha. In summer Pitta dosha, the fire element, is most activated. Learn practices to help you cool the fire element and enjoy the gifts of pitta dosha in balance: intelligence, clarity, brilliant leadership, and the ability to be organized and efficient!

HERBAL WALK & WILD FOOD TASTINGS with Marguerite: Take a little adventure in the gardens and fields of Roxbury, New York where those weeds you were pulling out (that you thought were intruders!) will astound and challenge your senses to discover just how they can feed your body, nourish your soul, and support you and your garden’s overall balance and abundance. Join herbalist Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower for an afternoon of plant identification that includes a wild food tasting and wild beverage.

RESTORATIVE YOGA & SOUND BATH with Leigh: Enjoy a delicious restorative yoga practice while being immersed in the powerful healing vibrations of sound. Designed to cool, relax, and rejuvenate your body and mind, this sound body experience helps you release stress and tension, improves sleep, calms your nervous system, and harmonizes your subtle energy body.

Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower, RN, Clinical Herbalist, Wild Crafter and co-founder of Plant Pioneers. As launching co-founder of Plant Pioneers (a human-plant relations movement), Marguerite sees her work as an eco-centric educational platform where she invites people to become interested in plants, in all of their capacities. Her focus is in outdoor encountered based learning with plants and trees where activities develop ones observational and listening skills with “the-Nature-that-surrounds-us”, thus allowing plant phenomena to speak. And, of course, the foundation of what she does is on nature conservancy.
